The Mix Ratio for the Echo GT 200R
The Echo GT-200R nylon-line grass trimmer comes with a two-cycle engine which runs on a 50-to-1 combination of gas and two-cycle engine oil. The gas should be a mid-grade unleaded gas rated in 89 octane or greater, with no more than 10 percent ethanol. The two-cycle oil has to meet the JASO FC/FD or ISO L-EGD lubrication quality specifications. The oil container’s label will say whether the petroleum meets these standards.
Preparing Fuel
Prepare a batch of fuel for the GT 200R by pouring a half-gallon of new gas into a fresh 1-gallon container. Insert 2.6 fluid ounces of two-cycle engine oil, close the container and shake till the gas and oil are nicely blended. Insert a second half gallon of gas to the container, close it, and shake it again to remix the gas and oil. A gallon of blended fuel is sufficient to fill the trimmer’s gas tank 8.5 times. Because the gas and oil can divide in storage, shake the fuel can thoroughly each time before ridding your own trimmer. Use within 30 days.
